  39.      The Shareware Concept

  41.      Family Scrapbook is Shareware.  Shareware basically means "Try
  42.      before you buy."  If you try a Shareware program and continue
  43.      using it, you must compensate the author by purchasing it.
  44.      (purchasing a shareware product is usually called "registering")

  46.      Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software.
  47.      Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like
  48.      commercial authors, and the programs are of comparable quality.
  49.      (In both cases, there are good programs and bad ones!)  The main
  50.      difference is in the method of distribution.

  52.      Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software.  You
  53.      should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether
  54.      it's commercial or Shareware.  The Shareware system makes fitting
  55.      your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.  And because
  56.      the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware has the
  57.      ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you
  58.      don't pay for it.

  113.      The manual is contained in FSB.DOC, which will be uncompressed
  114.      during the installation procedure.  The manual can be printed from
  115.      within the program.  A printed manual is mailed to those who
  116.      purchase the program.

  128.      Installation Instructions

  130.      You need about 2.5MB of free disk space.  The program will need
  131.      more disk space as you add data.

  133.      Uncompress all files onto floppy disks or a temporary subdir and
  134.      run the INSTALL program on disk 1. INSTALL will do the following:
  135.  
  136.              1. Make a subdirectory on your hard disk
  137.              2. Install the files into it.
  138.              3. If you are upgrading from a previous version, it will
  139.                 convert your old data to the new format.  Make sure
  140.                 you know what your old version is before starting.
  141.                 MAKE A BACKUP before upgrading!  ...Just in case!

  143.      Example:        1. Put disk 1 in drive A:
  144.                      2. Type A: and then press ENTER
  145.                      3. Type INSTALL and then press ENTER
  146.                      4. It will tell you what to do next...
